I think Wang could be effective (but not as effective as he was) with his 2 seamer (which i believe is the same grip as his sinker), butBomberBanter.comhttp://www.bomberbanter.com/index.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1256268100133425608.post-10435383888183196962010-02-12T23:09:26.175-05:002010-02-12T23:09:26.175-05:00Hey, SteveS, let me ignore those mechanics links f...Hey, SteveS, let me ignore those mechanics links for now and give my wild ass guesses. To throw his sinker, I bet he has to roll his fingers over, ring finger to index in succession as he is flicking his wrist, stressing his top forearm muscle at the elbow. And I think what was hurt was the top shoulder muscle, which you'll feel if you raise your arm up, and try that flick and roll, with Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1256268100133425608.post-83967218990322000182010-02-12T15:51:38.281-05:002010-02-12T15:51:38.281-05:00actuall it was THE worst 3 game stretch in history...actuall it was THE worst 3 game stretch in history, according to this article<br />www.mlbexpertanalysis.com/blog/?p=23Steve Gnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1256268100133425608.post-10627657828859520122010-02-11T20:19:52.547-05:002010-02-11T20:19:52.547-05:00Jay, just in case you missed it, Will Carroll did ...Jay, just in case you missed it, Will Carroll did a reply to your piece with some terrific info. I'd love to see someone follow-up on this piece braking down his delivery, which I suspect was at the core of his problem getting downward movement on his sinker. In those three 09 starts, you may recall seeing Posada often pointing to his shoulder, reminding Wang to stay upright (come over the top) as he followed through his delivery. That's usually the difference Steve S.http://www.theyankeeu.com/noreply@blogger.com
